This store is run by a very rude owner who has little care or concern for the satisfaction of her customers. She has sold a poor quality earrings to an elderly woman on the pension who found it broke when she tried to put on herself at home the next day. The greedy owner has refused to refund the poorly manufactured earrings as she claims the 45kg elderly lady is too strong and has used too much force to put on the earrings.
Despite the store policy and statutory Consumer protection for refunds on faulty products, this ignorant owner has refused to refund the faulty item. She seems to not understand the basics of ‘fit for purpose’ legislation all consumers are protected by under Australian Consumer Law. It is of no consequence to the elderly lady’s son as he will pursuit a full refund and apology via NSW Fair Trading.
It is of great concern that a business owner is so greedy and ignorant to take advantage of migrant pensioners. They should always be aware that some migrants produced children who went on to become lawyers. See you in the Small Claims Court, dear.
